Handover of the EU Council Presidency from Sweden to Spain

On Friday 16th June, the official handover of the Presidency of the Council Working Party on Statistics from Sweden to Spain took place in Stockholm. The meeting was attended by representatives from the national statistical offices of the outgoing trio (France, Czech Republic and Sweden) and the incoming trio (Spain, Belgium and Hungary), as well as the European Commission (Eurostat).

During the meeting, representatives of the previous Presidencies shared their experiences and lessons learned. Furthermore, the incoming trio of Presidencies explained their priorities and objectives. In addition, the Swedish and Spanish Presidencies discussed the status of the pending statistical dossiers.
